I don’t know if anybody visiting this blog is a fan of the Golden Lightan (Golden Warriors) anime from the early 80’s or not, hell I was only an infant back then. But I’ve always liked these gigantic geometric robots that transformed into post-modern garbage can looking shapes. I guess they were the transformers before the transformers, who transformed into shapes instead of stuff… Anyways, Bandai decided to launch a high end toy set of the Golden Warriors. Housed in a wooden box, and constructed out of die-cast metal, the set looks more Kidrobot-ish than an anime collectible. This set has been launched and the wooden box version is available in Asia only.
